Research Team
This SPARX project is led by Associate Professor Sally Merry (Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Head of Department, Psychological Medicine and Director of The Werry Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health, University of Auckland) and is managed by Dr Karolina Stasiak.
The research team includes several research fellows, clinical psychologists, learning technology experts and experienced clinicians. There were two PhD projects and one DClinPsy project related to SPARX. These investigated the acceptability and effectiveness of SPARX for Māori young people (Dr Matt Shepherd); same-sex attracted young people (Dr Mathijs Lucassen); and young people in Alternative Education (Dr Terry Fleming).
